Yes. On iPhone, Phone and FaceTime always work; Messages and Maps are blocked only if you chose to lock them. On Android, phone calls, Messages, Maps, the camera, the emergency dialer, and Settings can never be locked. Calls home always work.
The ChoreKey app runs entirely on the device by default, no servers, no accounts. If you also buy our companion app ChoreKey+ ($4.99 one-time in-app upgrade) and pair it with your child’s phone, chore data and approval photos sync to a cloud backend so you can approve from your own phone. Yes. Add as many children as you want. Each child has their own list and status. With ChoreKey+ you can pair as many children’s phones as you need to one parent app.
Tap “Reset all data” in Settings (you’ll need to do this from the child-facing view via the gear icon → Cancel → long-press the icon). This wipes everything and lets you set a new PIN. We don’t store your PIN anywhere off-device, so this is the only recovery path.
